Justin Lee is a distinguished interventional radiologist having completed training in general surgery, diagnostic radiology, and vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Lee has a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University.
Dr. Lee attended the George Washington University School of Medicine and initially matched in General Surgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, a Harvard residency program. During his surgical training, Dr. Lee witnessed the shift in medicine from invasive to minimally invasive procedures and changed specialties to become an Interventional Radiologist.
He was the first graduate of a specialized program that combined Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He holds dual board certification in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
He has worked in both academic and large community hospitals. He received the RSNA Resident Research Award and served as Principal Investigator for several clinical trials.
Dr. Lee has served as a proctor for other interventional radiologists and has been an invited speaker both domestically and internationally in interventional radiology and interventional oncology. In 2012, Dr. Lee was given the opportunity to travel to Brazil to observe some of the earliest prostate artery embolization (PAE) procedures performed worldwide. Since that time, Dr. Lee has established one of the first and busiest PAE practices in the country.
Dr. Lee has committed himself to delivering first-class care to patients, with an emphasis on reducing the bureaucracy and added costs associated with healthcare. As most physicians are being forced into large-conglomerate practices, he has decided to move away from the big-group model to provide more personal and attentive care to his patients.
While he is a specialist, his interests include overall wellness and longevity for his patients. He is versed in the literature of functional medicine and is equally interested in non-invasive strategies to help patients achieve their health goals.
Dr. Lee is married with three children. He has recently begun competing in Triathlon events to keep his body and mind fit. He enjoys traveling with his family.
